New General Practice Opportunity – The Sports Hub
We are seeking VR GPs or a General Practice, existing or planned, to be part of a new multi-million dollar funded Sunshine Coast project.

This is a rare opportunity to be involved with this $ 22.5 million dollar project. The new Sports Hub will be one of the best sports facilities in Australia and is already marketed internationally to various sports teams around the world.
Facilities are made up of a high- performance gym, a three- star hotel with 82 rooms and over 200 car parks. This is a massive project which the government has helped kick start with a $ 5 million grant.
The Sunshine Coast Community and Sporting Club Limited (The Sports Hub Sunshine Coast) is a not-for-profit organisation and will deliver Health and Wellbeing Sports Club and a High Performance Sports and Medical Centre that caters for the needs of the Sunshine Coast Community and athletes in an inclusive manner.
The Sports Hub are either looking for General Practitioners (with a special interest in sports medicine) to start up their own medical practice within the complex OR for an existing sports medical centre to set up a satellite practice or a full-blown general practice. The practice will service all sports persons within the centre and also people from the surrounding Sunshine Coast community will be offered treatment in the practice. We will have pathology and radiology on site, the brand new Sunshine Coast University Hospital is a “stones- throw “away plus you will have full use of the sports facilities on site.

The allied health professionals will provide massive opportunities for an excellent coordinated health care regime for our sports athletes and the community.
Workshops will be provided in helping you coordinate Care Plan and Health Assessments for the sports athletes and community. It is really a one-stop shop for our sports legends.
There are start up incentives including assistance with fit out and we even have a National award-winning medical practice consultant – Ms Nicky Jardine, who can guide you with the setup of your practice if you haven’t got your own medical management team to assist. She can help you with getting a Medicare Location Certificate, submit Medicare paperwork to the various departments and assistance in helping with your software and training. Nicky can also help with RACGP accreditation and staff training.
The patient base will start as soon as the centre opens and The Sports Hub is already providing excellent marketing to assist with the with the practice launch.

The High-Performance Sports and Medical Centre
The High Performance Sports and Medical Centre area of the Hub will offer a variety of services in an inclusive and integrated manner.
These include Strength and Conditioning training, rehabilitation, Recovery Facilities, Sports Education, Sports Science and Sports Medical services.
The $10 million High Performance Sports and Medical Centre provides the perfect platform for the sports-related allied health hub. With a captive local, interstate and international audience, your business can join other leading professionals.
The High-Performance Sports and Medical Centre will provide a variety of integrated sports and allied health services, multipurpose training areas, strength and conditioning, recovery, rehabilitation facilities, sports education, sports marketing, and management consultancy, health cafe and retail outlet.
Building 1 is over 4000 m2 with wide open spaces and architecture reflecting that of a sophisticated landmark civil building using modern materials and natural lighting. Building 1 has access to extensive on-site car parks with 115 undercover and 25 on grade to cater for the high usage and anticipated larger numbers of sports orientated customers who will be using the facility every day.
Health and Wellbeing Sports Club
- The Sports and Community Club will offer healthy hospitality offerings along with health and wellbeing services.
- An administrative office, conference facilities and meeting areas for community sporting and recreation bodies will also be provided.

Offering functional and affordable accommodation for convenient access to services of the High Performance Sports & Medical Centre as well as other on-site facilities or the Kawana Sports Precinct such as the Kawana Aquatic Centre.
Short Term Accommodation
- Short-term accommodation (82 rooms) will include serviced ensuite rooms. This will also include dining, function and event rooms.
- The intent is to provide accessible, functional and affordable accommodation.
The Sports and Recreation Club along with administration offices will be located in building 2. Based on a traditional licensed club model, various nutritional food options will be a special focus being tailored to athlete’s needs and influencing positive healthy outcomes for all community age groups as well as social, corporate or sporting clubs.
Spanning three levels from the Basement to Level 1 with 180 degree SE/SW wide open views, 76 basement and 15 on-grade car parks to amply cater for day to day and venue function visitors. Function space including break out rooms for sporting groups. The space will service guests from the accommodation with breakfast to dinner options. Guests can also refuel with a healthy cafe on the front deck overlooking the water.
